Becky Kennedy, b. 1951, is a linguist and a college professor. She teaches courses in language structure and acquisition, literature, and creative writing. She has published articles in theoretical and applied linguistics. Her poems have appeared in the Aurorean, Bryant Literary Review, California Quarterly, Cider Press Review, Comstock Review, Denver Quarterly, Hollins Critic, Massachusetts Review, Meridian, New Mexico Poetry Review, Nimrod, North Dakota Quarterly, Off the Coast, Plainsongs, Puckerbrush Review, Roanoke Review, Sierra Nevada Review, Southern Poetry Review, William and Mary Review, Yemassee, and many other literary journals. Her most recent collection is Last Place (Finishing Line Press, 2012). She lives with her family in Jamaica Plain, MA.
