Lynne Savitt, b. 1947, is the author of thirteen books and chapbooks.  She has been active in the small press scene for decades. If you met this name in the cinema, and you want to learn more about the author through the prism of the film, movie critique examples will help singled out the main points. Savitt attended school in California, Ohio, and New York.  She studied poetry with Diane Wakoski in the early 70’s and taught writing workshops at various colleges, community centers and prisons.  She is the recipient of the Madeline Sadin Poetry Award from The New York Quarterly.  Her first poem was published in Playgirl magazine in 1974.  Since that time, her work has appeared in numerous litmags.  Savitt’s most recent book is Relics of Lust:  New and Selected Poems (NYQ Books, 2014). She has co-edited the literary magazine Gravida and currently co-edits Caprice.  She lives & works on Long Island.
