Guy R. Beining, b. 1938, has been active in the arts for decades. He has had thousands of poems as well as hundreds of collages and drawings appear in various literary magazines over the years. Beining is an innovative poet who synthesizes visual imagery with language. He has been the featured poet in a number of magazines such as the Atticus Review and the Wisconsin Review. Beining’s poetry has been included in numerous literary magazines such as Black Warrior Review, Borderlands, Fence, Istanbul Literary Review, New Review, Phoebe, The Portland Journal and Skidrow Penthouse. Since 1982, his artwork has graced the covers of dozens of literary journals. Beining has had his artwork showcased in numerous galleries throughout New York. Several colleges, including the Coffman Union Gallery at the University of Minnesota and San Diego State College, have exhibited his art. He currently lives in Massachusetts.
